Josette Born in San Francisco, raised in Daly City, Ca. Wife, mother of 5, a designer from the Oakland Bay Area stood out as one of the Bay Area’s top designers. Josette & Willie along with their children JerSean, DaMon, Denzel, Nikayla and Diandra now make North Dallas,TX. their new home. Josette states, “Given my first sewing machine at age nine as a gift from my father stirred up my gift.

Her calling and purpose is sure. Josette simply expresses her talents through the transformation of others. Creations to lift-up the spirit of those who wear her designs. Josette is one designer who symbolizes and reflects elegance, originality, and perfection in every piece of work. Her exploration of colors and fabric is an example of her style and character. Josette’s creations transcend her peers to say the least. She has set goals and objectives that speak volumes of her unlimited expression of talent. “It’s my desire to own boutiques in major cities nationwide and have my designs sold in upscale department stores everywhere, because of my faith,
I know the sky is the limit”!

Golatts clientele volved from local friends and family to professionals such as newscasters, Belva Davis- KRON S.F, Jami Floyd – Court T.V./ now 20/20 on ABC and talk show host Janice Edwards- S.F. She has designed garments for such notables as Patti LaBelle, Chaka Kahn, and Yolanda Adams and many more. 1990, Josette was winner of the 1st Annual East Bay Fashion Design, Hyatt Regency, Oakland, Ca. 1992, Josette’s designs were featured in Harpers Bazaar Magazine, nominated twice for the Golden Shears Awards in S.F. Recently, Josette was nominated for the Oakland Indie Award for her nonprofit youth fashion academy- An Eye For Style, Josette won a L.A. Fashion Week 2013 Couture Award in Beverly Hills, Josette won 1st place in the 2005 “Soul of the City” Fashion Competition in Dallas, Texas; 94.5 K Soul  Josette was selected as one of ABC- S.F. Channel 7 KGO 2005 honoree for “Profiles of Excellence”, received Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from U.S. House of Representative Nancy Pelosi U.S. Congress Member, 2004, ABC-S.F.Channel 7 KGO selected Josette for “7 Salutes”. Josette was one of the designers along with Michael Irvin, Magic Johnson and Steve Harvey was featured at the 2004 & 2005 Mega Fest in Atlanta, Ga.(Bishop T.D. Jakes, Potter’s House, Dallas,Texas) hosted by Deon & Pilar Sanders.

Golatt is now reaching out to inspire youth to become entrepreneurs in the area of fashion design as well as other facets of design. Her goal is to have An Eye for Style Youth Fashion Academies in cities across the U.S and world-wide. Josette’s passion comes from the belief that we were all created in the image of God who is the Original Designer and it is for us to celebrate and appreciate the gifts and talents that are inside. Josette believes that An Eye for Style Youth Fashion Academy will provide an arena for young entrepreneurs to be born and nurtured, and instill hope in them while there is still a chance.
